I'd like to challenge all of you to take part in this 1 hour downpicking challenge [IMG]
Are you ready to play 19.000 downstrokes without a break?

Nice! I've sometimes done 30min nonstop stints, starting around the same tempo, when working on my downstrokes. Good to see I'm not crazy at all then

I considered it for a moment but it just looks like a way to hurt myself, lots of injuries of this type happen because of too much repetitive movement right? Downpicking for an hour seems like just asking for it..

Haha! It's kinda "asking for a repetitive movement injury" challenge.

I agree this is really a bad idea. Kind like CrossFit max rep mentality for guitar. Really asking for an injury.

Why wouldn't you stand up to do it? That way you can go get a drink or something if you have a long enough cable.

    I'd rather not.

158 bpm should be fine without getting hurt
I think I'll make an attempt at this
