When im practicing with distortion i get this really bad background noise/buzzing. Its not really there when im playing clean, but i just cant seem to get rid of it.
My setup is this:

Not posting in the Pod HD thread since it's been basically abandoned.
So, it seems that after all these years of owning a Pod HD500, I can't get high gain tones to sound fully right in any possible way. The general tone is ok, but on single note stuff and especially on any kind of palm muted...
So here's the story:
I play guitar in my room and don't really plan on playing outside of it. I currently have a Line 6 Spidec IV 75 watts and let's be honest - it's not that great.
I upgraded my guitar to a Schecter Blackjack SLS a while back, but never got around to upgrading my...
Had a lot of fun on this one! Guitars, bass and vocals recorded using POD HD500, keys are Arturia Jupiter, drums are superior 2.0, Acoustic guitar and vocals recorded using a Shure SM58!

So I am pretty new to this forum so forgive me if I am hitting topics already discussed.
Anyway, I finally pulled the trigger on selling my Mesa rig to be replaced with an Axe FX II for both recording and live performances. While I wait for all the pieces of my rig to sell (so I can...
My main setup that I've used for a while is a Peavey 6505+ 60w combo and a host of effects pedals. I've moved into a small apartment recently, and haven't been able to turn it up much without my neighbors complaining, so I've being messing around with playing my guitar directly into my laptop...
I used the classic Pod HD 500 + SD combination as usual! I think the mix came out a lot better than my last one. Any critique regarding the composition itself, sound, mix, recording... is very welcome and appreciated.

Hey there. How's it going?
I've been using TH2 Overloud via an audio interface. Used it live too, but it kinda sucks having to take a laptop and audio interface on stage and set them up. So I'd like to get a guitar processor and need help deciding. This same question has been posted before...

I have a Pod HD 500 and would like to have that tube "oomph"... the thing is that I'll probably buy an Axe FX II in a distant future. So do you guys think I should go for the Pod + DT combo or for the Pod + 2502? Does anyone here have any experience with the second combination...

I'm from Brazil and new to the forum
I was wondering which option would be the best for (so far) small gigs and bedroom usage: the Peavey 6505+ head or the 112 combo.
My intention was to take the combo with me to the shows, unplug its 112 speaker and plug in the 4x12 cab the...
being that my cleans are so bad, and the effects, noise gates and all that other rad stuff is great on the POD, I'm thinking about putting one in my effects loop, and using the POD for effects, noise gates, etc. on the overdrive, and using it to make my cleans sound much better. any thoughts?
just wanted to share this podhd goodness. used my old Yamaha with stock pickups.
