Cant pull the trigger on a Caparison

I just picked up an Orbit FX, and really it just confirmed to me that I LOVE Caparison . I don't know if I can even say objectively what the quality is/compared to the usual suspects/competition (the most common fault on Caparison) since it just almost seems made for me, especially the neck. I...

thanks Tom! If he would actually would adjust the nut etc I'd be verrry interested!

Boutique builders a la Tom Anderson/Suhr/Vigier etc that will do more pointy/extreme shapes?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd just go with a normal shape before Kiesel. I don't hate regular superstrats or anything, just a preference. Carillion looks awesome, but besides all his 6 strings being 42mm nut widths it's my understanding he is pricey, like I'd probably spec out something...

    New Schecter Models Megathread

Thanks guys! I've messaged Drum City via their contact form on their site...I'll give it a couple days, and if for some reason I don't hear from them I'll either contact a different dealer like Axe Palace, or maybe try emailing directly.

    Production guitars with scalloped frets?

Hey everyone! I did try a KH3 at my GC, and although maybe it's not the same as playing in the lower frets, to me playing 17-24 felt no different than the non-scalloped areas...I'm kinda in the boat now of believing that playing with Jumbo/Xtra Jumbo frets a lot has my fretting hand light enough...

Boutique builders a la Tom Anderson/Suhr/Vigier etc that will do more pointy/extreme shapes?

oh yeah, I also talked to DJ (american CS) as I had been told about the retirement, he told me they are hoping/planning on continuing Vigier in some capacitiy, but who knows what that will be... fingers crossed!

Boutique builders a la Tom Anderson/Suhr/Vigier etc that will do more pointy/extreme shapes?

I love Vigier! If the specs were slightly more in tune to what I like (Jumbo frets, 43mm nut) I'd 100% just stick with them...I actually owned a SL for a bit just because I had to try the infinite radius etc and it was very nice; just a tad strange for me haha. Is there a reason it will be the...

Vigier 7 - has anyone tried ? WDYT?

for me 100% yes, but I also like thick necks...but I would still say yes since I think it's the majority opinion of those who have played them that the necks are amazing

Vigier 7 - has anyone tried ? WDYT?

I think Vigier 7s are great! I've played a few...only thing I'd tell you to be cautious of is that the necks are thicker than most are used to on 7s, and the tremolo isn't quite Floyd-level of abuse, but everything else is top notch....and also the frets are only medium-jumbo size. I'm a bit of...

Boutique builders a la Tom Anderson/Suhr/Vigier etc that will do more pointy/extreme shapes?

yeah I dont HATE 42mm or anything, it's just since 43/1 11/16th is very common I can be picky about that; if it was an option that was like only one company seemed to do non-mega custom I'd live with it haha. What do you think is the best way/place to contact Schecter about options for USA...

Boutique builders a la Tom Anderson/Suhr/Vigier etc that will do more pointy/extreme shapes?

really it's just because the nut on the ESP V is 42mm, and I prefer a 43mm nut. Kinda interesting, as all the superstrats from ESP USA are 43mm. I emailed Schecter about their USA options in general as it is very sparse (just wanted to confirm if you have to go through a dealer for options), but...

Boutique builders a la Tom Anderson/Suhr/Vigier etc that will do more pointy/extreme shapes?

haha yeah, I should have clarified I meant the issue with Jackson is a non-scoping reverb and sites for something to pop up is "pay $6k and wait 2.5 years for something that might have build issues" which you don't get from the Andersons of the world

Boutique builders a la Tom Anderson/Suhr/Vigier etc that will do more pointy/extreme shapes?

yeah, if anything I feel like I could have/should have been like "what is a Jackson CS/USA guitar that isn't extremely overpriced and/or has build issues" haha...though as mentioned they exist out there just not instantly available.

Boutique builders a la Tom Anderson/Suhr/Vigier etc that will do more pointy/extreme shapes?

Hey guys, So I've recently kind of went anti-GAS, meaning I used to (aka like less than a month ago) have a list of countless builders/brands I wanted to try, and I myself have done the constant buy/sell/trade thing and have probably had 20+ different brands come through my place in the past...

Mayones vs Ernie Ball Music Man quality?

yeah they always have multiple EBMMs and at least one JP and Majesty model, and currently they do have a Regius (I can walk there so I'm there quite a bit haha)

    Production guitars with scalloped frets?

Hi everyone, I'm interested in trying a scalloped fretboard, and was hoping maybe I could find one in a store as opposed to needing to buy one. Are there any out there besides the YJM and Blackmore Strats, that are more than just the last 4 frets or so a la JEMs? I have nothing against the...

    New Schecter Models Megathread

forgive me if this has already been talked about, but has Schecter really curtailed it's Masterworks and USA production? On the site there are now only 3 basic USA models, and a few artist models, and no order form for Masterworks.
