I know it's been years since he left, but Howard will always be the right vocalist for KSE in my heart. Jesse is okay, but Howard blew that band up when he joined.
Saw Cattlen Decapitation the other night. They had some sound issues it seemed like but still played really well. They were with Dark Funeral (weird bill imo). Not really a fan of the latter and left during their set.
I was supposed to be seeing Black Dahlia that night instead and I even had my...
I mean, yes, there are still guitars in that range that they offer but seeing the same models/guitars with nearly identical specs to previous ones creep up in price to nearly double what they once were is still troubling. I don't like seeing the newer version of a guitar that I own going for $2k...
Back in mah day!!!
But really, I remember when ESP were a semi-affordable brand. Now it feels like they're trying to go the PRS route of everything being ridiculously overpriced.
I was going to say I've been listening to this album a ton but realistically I've just been listening to these 2 songs a lot . Jarmake is right, Misericorde II is awesome. Such a good build up throughout and the tone on the first guitar solo in it is nuts. The harmonics and stuff are so...
Welp, this was a pretty underwhelming unveiling for me. The Holt V was pretty cool until I saw it's a 22 fret.
Everything looks meh as fuck and twice as expensive.
I feel this is a bit harsh. He was with Ibanez for a long time. He even said during his BC Rich endorsement that they weren't great guitars and left shortly after to go elsewhere. As much as I love Jackson I don't really blame him for leaving them either. That company has seen better days for...
What a bunch of entitled jerks we are to hope that half a million in crowdfunding would go to actually releasing music instead of dropping close to close to 50k on the same guitar from several different companies. I can barely contain my jealousy.
I like the song, but I would agree there are better songs on the album. Death and the Healing has some pretty insane leads. Sleeping Stars has a really cool intro and build up. Battle Against Time (heh) is pretty cool.
I love that album but I have a hard time listening to it now days.
Not sure how many of you are listening to the new album but it's shaping up to be on par with their best releases. A lot of really cool stuff going on throughout.
I think this is the general consensus the longer you're into guitar oriented music. Sometimes the feel of stuff is lost in a pristine production and sometimes the message that's trying to be conveyed isn't immediately recognizable since the production is so bad. It really does just depend on the...
