The JP13 and JP15 models (which have the same electronics) use a 9V battery, which is much harder to move inside the cavity.
AFAIK the Majesty is the only model that uses 3x AA batteries instead (maybe because it consumes more energy?). Of course they can move inside the cavity if you're the...
I sold mine after it failed on me on stage. It simple went mute for no reason.
Later I found that the problem was the fucking 3x AA batteries, which somehow moved inside the cavity. Unlike the first JP6 models, this one won't without the batteries.
Never again.
I'm pretty sure this is a fake Ibanez:
1) Lower horn has a weird shape;
2) Not an Edge trem;
3) End of the fretboard, where the fretboard meets the neck pickup, is slightly slanted.
I used Superior Drummer for years, because its editing capabilities are endless. It's like mixing a real, well-recorded drumkit.
However...
At some point I realized I always had specific sounds in my head, and I was spending way too much time tweaking those endless drumkit options.
So I...
Yep, I noticed too. No songs with the guitar tuned to C# standard.
He used the baritone in B♭ and A only. Maybe because a baritone in B would be too similar to the 7-string in B, I imagine.
For those who don't know, there is a Dream Theater Wiki out there.
I took the opportunity and categorized all songs by guitar (number of strings) and the tuning used by John Petrucci – this can be helpful to all you freaks on a DT cover band, like me.

I listed the BFR Baritone as of 2008, which is probably the NAMM it was released.
That guy plays great.
Everywhere I look I see people doing those horribly out of tune wide vibratos, but this guy can make them sound musical and good. Pretty rare these days.
You're right. Fixed.
My first JP6 was a 2004 model and she had these custom pickups, they sounded great. They were listed simply as Steve Special and Air Norton, but you're right, they're custom models. Fixed.
The Crunch Lab and LiquiFire debuted in 2009, before the JPX. I saw some 2009...
I just updated my chart with this 8-string model... way too many now :lol:

By the way, EBMM released a video about it.
I started making this chart back in 2014 to myself, trying to figure out all those EBMM John Petrucci sigs.
Today I updated the chart with the new 20th anniversary models. Here's the link to anyone who's interested (or confused)...
I have played on many tube amps, but I never wanted to buy one. I always liked digital modelers for two reasons:
* lots of different sounds;
* easy to transport.
The crowd doesn't give a shit about how good your tone is, most of them are completely tone deaf. When you play a real tube amp, you...
