"Amp in the room" tone doesn't matter. Or does it?

I think you make good points. I've also seen wood doesn't matter. To me, I guess being the neanderthal I am, it all matters. I do all my playing through headphones now. Had to get used to a bit of latency. Who knows? I think most of that stuff is click bait. You take a premise with which most...

None of the big four thrash bands have ever played Ibanez

Slayer's Jeff Hanneman played an Ibanez RG550 guitar during the 1990s. Metallica's Kirk Hammett played an Ibanez Flying V guitar on the band's "Damage, Inc." tour in 1986. Anthrax's Scott Ian played an Ibanez RG Series guitar during the 1990s. Megadeth's Marty Friedman played Ibanez guitars...

    New Mesa Boogie Mark amp?

Actually I think I looked this up here in the US and it was like 3700. Which honestly those little combos sounds amazing. I think if a person had the money to make sure they kept it for the rest of their lives it would be a good investment. Although service for those amps can be a little...

Conversely they have probably the best whammy bar

I've had a Universe, the RG version, and another RG and I could never get the proper palm muted sound out of them. Nor split harmonics. I always thought it was the wood. I put EMGs in the last one I owned but it was the same.

:wag:Did you make that up yourself? Hahaha! I think since this a predominantly metal forum you might encounter dissenters.

    Solar Guitars by Ola Englund

I like the tuning system. But I'm not a fan of the headstock. I'm still kind of waiting to hear how great they are from the players. I've seen people who own them. Olaf plays them. But I still am not seeing everyone go completely bananas.

I just thought of that. However Trey plays a Universe. How does he get that heavy sound?

    Long vs short songs

Some people enjoy long drawn-out tunes. I prefer concise songs. Don't Waste Your Time

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I also just made this video finally.

Gimme some good tunes with heavy trem (Floyd, not Leslie speaker) use.

Here are some songs that influenced me a lot with the bar and phrasing and stuff. I love the controlled wildness.

The Violin was amazing. I still can't believe how great that was.

    Doctor Sleep

Has anyone had a chance to check this out? What did you think of it? When I saw it I wasn't exactly sure what I was watching. Then it became very interesting! It seemed like a sequel more for the Kubrick movie than the book. I loved the focus on alcoholism, which I think was an important...
