I've had a Universe, the RG version, and another RG and I could never get the proper palm muted sound out of them. Nor split harmonics. I always thought it was the wood. I put EMGs in the last one I owned but it was the same.
I like the tuning system. But I'm not a fan of the headstock. I'm still kind of waiting to hear how great they are from the players. I've seen people who own them. Olaf plays them. But I still am not seeing everyone go completely bananas.
