Ah, I knew that video would stir the pot.
This is something I've been saying for a while now. When we hear our favorite tones on our favorite albums we're hearing them through a mic and preamp and post processing and mastering and all that. No fucking shot you can reproduce all that "in the...
Thanks for the input folks. I found a builder who'll do it for me. RAT with a pre gain bass cut like tight knob and post gain high and low pass filters.
I've been on the hunt for one of these, but my research seems to indicate that these are limited to DIY projects but no commercial pedals (or even b00teek, I'm happy to pay a premium if necessary).
Anyone got ideas?
I actually have another one
Both Gibson and Fender are poor brands that ride on their legacy status and not much else. It's time they either massively overhauled, or died. Gibson is by far the worse offender here of course, because even the custom shop produces horror stories on the reg. At...
So upon reading some posts that came after my latest one here, I'd like to clarify: if you like your amps and have the space to keep and play one, more power to you! I'm not saying they're obsolete either. I'm saying that along the practicality axis, they are far ahead for most hobbyist...
Unpopular opinion?

For the overwhelming majority of people, particularly those with small apartments and/or families, tube amps (or even just physical amps, tube or otherwise, for that matter) are simply not worth it. You can go into all kinds of mental gymnastics about loadboxes this or...
While I agree with you, this is one of those rare occasions where I will actually defend them (I guess?). Granophyre is particularly bad with its IRs, I really dont know why. Nameless, Nolly and Gojira all have very very good cabs.
I genuinely cannot understand what drove them to release...
Nameless is legitimately great (sub with Gojira if that's more your speed). As is Nolly for clean and crunch tones. Other plugins are simply unnecessary rehashes of the same shit and not worth another cent IMO.
Oh I love heavy metal.
Grim Reaper, accept, powerwolf, maiden, priest, insane stuff.
What I hate are bid dumb bitches. They tend to gatekeep, and are generally a menace to society.
Adam from Elysian will build you whatever you want. I know you said "unless you go custom" but I sincerely think that when these drop, Seymour Duncan will ask custom prices. Might as well go Custom now...
EDIT: about them not building soapbar sizes, they might. But then again their obstinate...
