Oh I know. My personal setup is awful. My current living room has the couch almost 20' from the tv, and for a 45" tv, it's very fucking hard to see at times, even with 20/20 vision. I would move my sofa closer but it's a center fed room and then I wouldn't be able to open the fucking door...
After owning like 11 headless guitars (3 strandbergs,1 ormsby, 7 kiesels). I still have one strandberg custom and a kiesel zeus.
Here's my list of downsides (many of which have been covered):
1. hardware quality varies wildly. The hipshot hardware on the kiesels are excellent. The strandberg...
Thanks. I call it the doommaster because it has a 28.625" scale and I was using it for doom/sludge stuff (but also because of Thulsa Doom from Conan). I have details over in my build thread.
I have some K100s in a 2x12. They are throatier, with a bit deeper low end and a tad more grind than the p50s. Mids overall are pulled back a bit compared to P50s.
Compared to a V30, to50s lack that kind of scratchy/fizzy high end. The upper mids aren't as aggressive either. They're still...
This is a verrrrry belated NCD seeing as I got this cab back in october of last year
Yeah, not much to say about it. I bought it used from a local guy who lived out in the country. It's beat to shit with the tolex peeling off all over, the handles are all rusted, etc. I don't really care...
clean and crunch channels seemed relatively similar. The high gain channels I could notice more of a difference with the Powerball feeling a bit bigger and throatier. I think it has a bit more upper mid content as well. I preferred the sound of the Powerball's high gain tone a bit more tbh. I...
Exactly. When I was first learning to play like 20 years ago (jesus I can't believe it's been that long) not knowing how to set stuff up would have been a valid excuse, because yt didn't exist yet, and online tutorials weren't omnipresent like they are now. Nowadays it's stupidly easy to find...
Some pickups just don't work in some guitars dude. I've swapped a ton of pickups in the last couple of years, and just because they work in one guitar doesn't guarantee they'll work in another one. Case in point, I had a basswood RG and tried Dactivators, Titans and Evo2s in it. None of them...
double locking or death* at least when it comes to trems
I found single point trems to be a bigger pain in the ass than any floyd to maintain, especially if I was using the bar relatively frequently. Less of a problem with locking tuners and a decent nut, but I just prefer the feel of a floyd...
