You’re building a collection.
This guitar is part of it, blemishes don’t matter.
Only time I worry about blemishes is brand new guitars. I pay $4k for a guitar it better be perfect. Other than that, it’s a tool. Use it no matter what.
EMG 81/60 combo, the single KsE Fishman in my Caparison, the PRS McCarty pickups in my gold top LP, the BKP Painkillers in my LPC and the BKP Piledrivers in my Telemaster.
These are what I’ve landed on after years of trying tons of different stuff.
Black Winters will work too; just gave away...
Fuckin sick pickup homie.
I had an FJA modded one a few years back that I sold on here; it’s the only amp I’ve ever regretted letting go.
Single Recs are the best. HNAD!
I have the KsE Adam D Caparison sig; I was undecided as to what I was going to put in there when it showed up as I was unimpressed with the Fishmans I’ve had, but that KsE sig Fishman is badass.
It’s in drop C for the same type of tunes you want to do and kills for it.
I also own an RGA121...
Two main guitars into a Herbert:
ESP Viper in drop B: DV-77 Mean Mix
Caparison TAT-FX in drop C: Mesa 212
Both from York, I used OH for a long time and I just like these better.
Glad you’re back into em broheem.
I think I bought the last one you sold, maybe 2-3 years ago.
Just gave it away to a bud that needed a solid touring guitar.
HNGD, this thing is sick.
Tortex TIII 1mm
These aren’t the best as the tips wear off quickly for me as I have a decently heavy right hand. At $20 for a 72 pack, it’s easy enough to chuck em after a 2 hour session.
‘89 LPC and a custom I had built around 2010. LPC has Painkillers in it.
The custom while it looks like a Standard has some different specs. Gold MOP for the inlays and logo, ebony board, jumbo SS frets, which weren’t as common back then. Both are heavyweights, over 10 lbs each.
Figure minimalist truck rig counts, so this is it.
It’s either the Cap or an ESP Viper, so that’s two guitars. This is basically it, my main rig is a lot more complicated.
Played/owned all of these amps and would agree. Herbert is the endgame for a lot of people and I’d include me in that.
I’ve owned a lot of amps and it’s still here and going nowhere.
I’d really like to try the VHX and compare it to my Herb. If it fit the bill and had all the FX/load box/IRs etc then I’d switch and off my Herb and Suhr RL in a heartbeat.
There’s a guy here that bought one and compared it to his VH4 and said it was identical. I trust Diezel but I’d still...
