Anyone know the size of the capacitor for a stock Ibanez USRG30?

Thanks, MaxOfMetal! I'll rummage around the component bins here at work and see if we have any .022 uF caps in the bins. Regs, Jeff

Anyone know the size of the capacitor for a stock Ibanez USRG30?

Hey gang, Some kind soul over on Jemsite uploaded the wiring diagram for a stock Ibanez USRG30, but I can't figure out what rating the capacitor is , as it just says "022" which in my experience tends to mean "200 pF" radial cap, but I'm not 100% sure on this. Anyone know for sure? I've...

    The Fishman Fluence Thread

Just FYI should anyone care, the Tosin Abasi's will absolutely not fit within an Ibanez S7320 body unless you don't use the push-pull pots and only wire it with the stock switch... which sort of defeats the purpose of getting them. I am now having them put into my RG7621 and moving the...

    Coil tapping Fluence moderns

Short answer... the TA-7's will NOT fit in an S7320. The body is too thin for the switch as well as the push pull pots to fit. So I'm screwed as far as sticking those in this guitar. FML Jeff

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the Prestige models had the more complex Otax VLX91 super switch, as well. I know the RG3120 did, for sure.

Indigo, Unfortunately, the switch used in his Ibanez's, the OTAX VLX91, is a super switch and does not fit in the very thin Ibanez S7320 body. And it SEEMS like you can't get the appropriate coils to engage for each pickup using the stock 5-way switch, though I may be wrong. Hoping my tech...

Thanks, but I can't tell if this switch really solves the issue without actually buying it and having my tech dry fit it. I've already wasted money on one switch. I'm waiting to hear back from my tech to see if they had any better luck talking to Fishman than I did, because what they said to...

    Coil tapping Fluence moderns

For reference, here is the stock wiring diagram for my S7320: http://www2.ibanez.com/supportResources/wiring/2007/W070012_S7320.pdf Jeff

    Coil tapping Fluence moderns

I've got a similar question, though I am using the Tosin Abasi 7-string pickups in my Ibanez S7320 with the original 5-position switch. I'd like to get the same tonal variations as Tosin, but using both the volume and tone controls with push-pull pots to do the coil tapping and voice switching...

    The Fishman Fluence Thread

Hey gang, So my awesome wife got me the Tosin Abasi non-soapbar 7-string pickups to put in my THIN-bodied Ibanez S7320 and the Fishman recommended superswitch from Stew-Mac (I'm sure you see where this is going). Of course, when my guitar tech went to install everything, the damn switch won't...

Thanks, man! And they have an office here in Houston, to boot! I'll hit them up and see what's what. Thanks again! Regards, Jeff

    The Fishman Fluence Thread

Does anyone know WHERE I can order the non-soapbar version of the Abasi 7-string set (PRF-MS7-TB2)? I can't find it being sold at any online or local retailer here in the Houston area. Fishman support was less than helpful and basically said, "We don't know what dealer will sell you these, but...

    The Fishman Fluence Thread

I'm definitely thinking of getting the TA 7-string set for my Ibanez S7320. If I understand correctly it's the PRF-MS7-TB2 (non-soapbar) version that would best fit within this guitar, right? On the subject of the neck pickup, given the myriad of choices we now have in the Fluence line...

Which DiMarzio Pickups for ESP LTD EC-256FM?

Thanks for your response. As I mentioned, I'm only looking to pop in ones I already own as a stop-gap. Regs, Jeff

Which DiMarzio Pickups for ESP LTD EC-256FM?

Thanks, but I'm only looking to replace the stock ones with PU's I currently have laying around the house until I buy the Fluence ones that ultimately will go in there. Regs, Jeff

Which DiMarzio Pickups for ESP LTD EC-256FM?

KnightBrolaire, That really is the question... is it dark, bright, neutral, etc? I have a feeling this is going to be one of those, "just stick them in and see which you like better" experiments, unfortunately. At least with a fixed bridge it's less of a hassle. As for the amp, right now I'm...

Which DiMarzio Pickups for ESP LTD EC-256FM?

What tone wood is your Eclipse made out of? I pulled my Tone Zone and PAF Pro out of an alder bodied Ibanez USRG model. My Super 3 and H1 came out of the MIJ Fender HM Strat. Neither of which is really like the mahogany+maple EC-256FM, unfortunately.

Which DiMarzio Pickups for ESP LTD EC-256FM?

Thanks, KnightBrolaire. I'm unclear if this specific guitar is considered "dark" due to it's mahogany body, or "bright" because of the maple cap, so making a guess, I was thinking it was closer to being "dark".

Which DiMarzio Pickups for ESP LTD EC-256FM?

Hey gang, I snagged an EC-256FM in See Through Black around last Christmas. I'm definitely underwhelmed by the stock pickups in this guitar, so I've decided to try upgrading them with one of the following combos. If any of you have tried these yourselves, I'd love to hear feedback. My...
