did you install a tremsetter into your 1077XL? i'm thinking of installing one into my 2077 and tune it to standard B.
was taken out of my guitar-playing due to work, but now, i shall revive this thread.
where can i get the 48 mm springs? :D
forgot to ask. what is typical? the stiff bridge?
pretty much as deep in as i could, so that i could avoid extra springs (but that happened in the end too). i'm guessing i need the shorter...
i'm not a dive bomb freak (though i do dive bomb quite a lot during a certain period of my playing :metal:), but i do use it for subtle stuff that...
i realised i've been saying standard E, while i should be saying standard B. :)
yup, it's a 2077. i am aligning it using the base of the trem,...
i tried just using 4, and tightened the claw down to the max, and the bridge was still leaning towards the strings - so i added 1 more spring....
any recommendation for the strings? i believe the 25.5" one is using 10-56 now. again, as for the 27" one, no idea what's the gauge now.
i managed to tune a 7-string of 25.5" scale to standard E and the guitar ended up with 2 extra springs for a total of 5, and the floating bridge...
i just bought a D'Addario pack of 10-56.
agreed on both the flat strings and about retaining a floating bridge.
what about 10-56? i'm thinking of changing the strings that came with this 7 to 10-56. i think they are currently 9-52.
thanks. will check it out soon.
cool. i know what the tremsetter does, but i didn't know you can set the stiffness for it. :)
i'll probably want to check it out. change it to...
so is 4 springs the standard? i am thinking of removing one spring to give it more erm, "spring". :p
i'm also curious about the tremsetter you...
how many springs do you have for your floyd rose bridge? and what's the formation of the springs?
i have 4 of them, and the bridge is stiff....
will the decal come off? like, does it peel at the sides of the decal?
also, is it permanent?
you did a great job there, by the way. :fawk:
thanks for sharing that. looks like i will check out the SD JB first.
i am looking for a pup that can stay totally clean despite its high output. is the evo that?
any idea how it compares to the SD JB?
also, does the evo distort even a tiny bit when played clean?
