Interesting! I’ll have to try it with my other amps. It’s a killer noise gate nonetheless. I wonder how the Lichtærm Gate and Key will compare to this.
This is all super interesting feedback; I wonder what’s causing the signal leak on my end.
Isn’t the Zuul intended to be used in the loop, with the key input coming from something in front of the amp for maximal effect?
What’s interesting is that I borrowed a regular TU-3 and swapped out my...
@jc986 I did some testing just now. The output of the TU-3W is going into the key input of the Zuul, whereas the bypass of the TU-3W is going into a Tubescreamer type pedal (EQD Plumes). The Zuul is in the amp's effects loop.
When I engage the TU-3W, it "mutes" the signal, despite a tiny bit of...
I would need to double check tomorrow. In my case I’m using a TU-3W, which has switchable buffer/true bypass. I’ll tinker with that.
The amp in this case is a Friedman JJ Jr.
I ended up doing that earlier today and that basically does it; I don’t know why I didn’t notice this before, haha.
However, there is a very tiny bit of the signal coming through when I engage the tuner to mute the signal. I wonder why this is.
Hi all,
I recently got a Fortin Zuul and I'm struggling to find a way to tune without any background hiss. Let me explain:
The main feature of the Zuul is the key input, which can accept an unaffected guitar signal (ex. coming from the bypass output of a Boss tuner). The key input, in...
Yeah, it's definitely a broad question. I generally prefer a tighter feel in terms of tension on the low strings, so i'm thinking multiscale is the way to go. I have limited experience with 7 strings and multiscale guitars on the whole though.
I agree with you regarding the tiers. I heard that...
