If I get a chance I'll probably post a thread about it, but it's not very likely that I'll get to since the only ESP dealer in the area STILL hasn't gotten any of the 2011 stock in. They've got all the Ibby, Schecter, and Jackson stuff in though

      Couldn't agree more :agreed:
Still dying to try out the H1007/H1007FR's though.

There have been threads on here for all of them, and I've posted in them all
Just a matter of looking through my posts :) And to answer your next question, yes I do have a lot of time on my hands

      Yea, it's a great time killer :)
I remember seeing a Jackson one a while back too, it was sick, you could use all of the Jackson and Charvel shapes. I'll see if I can find it.
edit: Here's a LP one - SC Guitar Editor
and here's the Jackson one - JC Ribas Custom Guitar Generator

Strandbergs are sexy as hell, and so are Iceman's, so I approve of that idea :yesway:

Go for it :metal: I've never done one myself so I can't really help you there, but Darren was doing some pretty cool chambering on one of the Decible prototypes, he'd be able to help with that :)

They actually play pretty nice (guitar store impression). Almost an ESP/LTD type profile to them :)

      Sounds sick :metal:
I remember seeing a Washburn WG587 neck in the classifieds somewhere, and I'm pretty sure Shannon is selling a RG7620 neck as well. Can't help you with the bridge, but used is your friend

Ah yeah you saw the Altima SE-R. Yeah that's a pretty serious car too. That one has a 3.5 6 cylinder engine (not sure what kind). mIght be the vq35de, but not positive.

Yeah mine came with the Brembo brake package. They fitted a QR25DE engine in it. It's a 2.5 liter that is in some altima's I think. Reaaaally torquey engine

Sounds like it sould be a pretty damn nice instrument :agreed: Only pointers I can give is stuff I'm sure you've seen several times on here before, take your time and make templates/jigs for everything (see scherzo1928's builds), but don't be afraid to make mistakes, thats how you learn and get better :yesway:

Sick :yesway: I've never heard of it before, but a google search is telling me that it at least looks reallllllly good. Are you using it for a neck or body?

I think I'm going to go with a Hipshot and a Graphtech ghost system :)

      Dremels are THE shit
I haven't had much time to work on it lately due to work, family and whatnot. Should have at least a rough cut and bridge/neck placed by the end of next week (painfully slow, I know )

It wouldn't hurt to at least get the bark off first, no need to make a blank, just let the wood breathe.
You can tell when it's dry by tapping on it, if it's green, you'll get a dull thud, if dry, it should give off a quiet ringing sound (almost as if it's hollow)
