So they can't push products out to stores in time. They cut back on QC to rush out what they can. Then raise prices 20-30%. Then now cut staff. Interesting.
Not quite the best V but this is my Schecter Gary Holt V1 that I swapped in ordinary black EMG 81 in in favour of the stock red 81/89. Looks more badass in my view though the red pickups are lovely on their own. Gives it a more Pat O Brien vibe now.
My latest add. Edwards E-LP 130CD JS i.e. the unofficial John Sykes model. Paid just a bit over USD 1,000. My current favourite because of how well made it is, though I wish it could use a bit more heft (3.8kg) and thiccness (slightly under 5cm). The frets I'm pretty sure aren't stainless steel...
Why are you convinced they're not stainless steel despite being listed as such? If they feel soft, could it be just due to differences in quality? Frets are alloys after all, stainless steel and nickel. DIfferent components could lead to differences in perceived hardness.

Thanks, this bit is new to me. That said, I stand by my point that it is meant to EMULATE solid flame tops, even if they started life as actual flamed maple blocks. Manufacturers being opaque or less-than-upfront about their use of veneers is a tell of this.
