      If you know anyone with testing equipment, you'll find they all vary to some degree :D

      My JJ's hovered between 1000 and 1200 (Not sure the unit of measure) the tungsol gold pin was 1600, and the sovtec registered an 1800! Me and my tech fiddled with it for an hour and a half, but we squeezed every bit of tone out of my 5150 II

      You should put a Tung-sol in V2 :D

      Trust me on this one. A higher gain tube in V2 intsead of V1 makes a subtle, but awesome difference. :hbang:

      it's one hell a great sounding amp... when there aren't flames spewing out of it :lol:

      apparently the Mk 1s had a few problems that were all taken care of with the MkII.

      Jerich has a Mk 1 Triamp that just absolutely slays :agreed:. it really is an amazing and versatile amp. it could easily be a main amp for me.
