Personally I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with mandating it. It's being given away for free.

If we know that we can prevent a certain type of cancer, what reasonable excuse is there not to?

The thought that it will promote promiscuity is not reasonable in my opinion.
Girls should be well aware that just because they cannot get cancer does not mean that they cannot get HIV or a slew of other diseases or be impregnated.

If they become promiscuous after recieving vaccination then the fault would be mostly on the inadequacies of the sexual education program and the parents who failed to communicate with their daughters.

I believe that this would save alot more lives than it would harm.

Edit: I meant to write Gov. not Pres.

I think it's a decent idea. He's trying to protect the younger generations.

Being a Bio Sci grad, and a current healthcare field student, there's a HUGE problem with this... it's a new vaccine that hasn't had any tests for side effects yet!!!

I wouldn't make it manditory until 10 years of clinical studies/trials have been completed. It could do lots more harm than good.

Most of them would have ended up whores anyways, I'm sure! :agreed:  Yeah, I wouldn't want my kids to be FORCED to have any type of vaccine that doesn't have a LOT of testing behind it. Fuck that, son. :fawk:

Human Papillomavirus, it's a form of Cervical Cancer. At least that's what I've heard on the commercial.

Um, guys you seriously need to do your research a little better. HPV is an STD that can cause genital warts. It has been shown to trigger cervical cancer in women. So don't go thinking HPV is nothing to worry about if you're a dude.

Oh wow, yeah that is a very good point.

I just made the assumption that because it had been approved by the FDA it had undergone rigorous testing for potential side-effects.

Read that if you're interested in finding out how the FDA approval process works.
