My Jackson CS SL7.
My B6. It does it all really damn well.
An all rounder that has the looks to go through a multitude of genres?
Same here. Time tested & proved.
Actually I forgot this guitar existed for some reason, but here's an obvious choice, just need a few thousand to get one now...
My Tom Anderson Hollow Drop top HSH. Most Flexible guitar I own.
The most important consideration is that it plays well so I'm going with my lime green metallic CS Jackson soloist.
It'll annoy the blues guys with its looks, but not as much as my general lack of interest in playing blues will!
Probably my PRS SE 7
Music man JP15. Ticks all the boxes for me.
My RA-5 loaded Strat if the Metal in question is Malmsteeny Neoclassical, the Blues is SRV-y Texas Blues, the rock is Alternative or Ska Punk, and the Jazz involves me putting the guitar down to bash my head into a piano.
PRS Custom 24.
I hate jazz though... Blues or traditional/power metal I would use my Carvin JB200. Tonally can do absolutely anything.
I would use my Les Paul.
HSH Suhr Modern without a doubt.
Out of the guitars i currently own it would be my les paul DC studio. I use it in a metal band but it can do pretty much everything.
But to be fair, you can play everything with any guitar you like.
HSS strat. 24 frets, coil tap, sustainiac neck, floyd rose
I'd personally probably get something of the Tele variety. 22 frets, HS, HSS, or HSH pick config with ability to coil tap the humbuckers, 5 way switch, black guitar with white pickguard. Probably a JB or Custom Custom in the bridge and 59 in the neck. Not entirely sure though if we're suggesting a specific model for the OP, or building a theoretical "does it all/most of it" type dream guitar of our own, but that's what I'd put together. I think the amp and pedalboard has some bearing on that, though.
Something with a brutal bridge humbucker (M, X2N, painkiller, slug, etc) and some variant of PAF in the neck.
I like it. Teles are at home anywhere. And it was just a theoretical question for fun.
