Which video editing software for Windows 7

    that isn't Windows Movie Maker? Unfortunately, I missed the cutoff for that one by a couple of days :wallbash:. I would prefer free, since I will be doing very basic editing (i.e. editing length).

    Sony Vegas is awesome, but I think it's not free

    I use Sony Vegas 12... the 13 is way too heavy on resources for my machine. But all these video editors have the same workflow, apart from minor details. Just choose anyone and stick to it.

    Thank you for responding. I figured that the UI for each product is likely to be about the same. However, my concern about the free ones is in selecting one that is not loaded with malware. I was hoping that someone would have suggestions for legitimate free ones.

    Is this where you got Vegas from http://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/downloads/

    I see that Adobe Premiere Elements is on sale thru 4/16--any thoughts on that one?
