Noticed the other night that mine has snapped on one side, no big deal, but it'd be nice for it all to be in good working order :)

Off to replace the switch this evening for some single coil neck bliss!

We may have some at work, but I'm tired of sending you parts. :fawk:  Try Headstock - if they don't have any, bully all the local shops that might concievably stock spares, because the next Hoshino shipment to the UK isn't due for another 4 months :)

Quarterly, but parts orders are few and far between. A customer of mine waited 4 months for a trem arm holder/socket thingy for a ZR trem. I wouldn't mind, but it makes us look bad :(

The RG2228 hits these shores Late November/Early December, and I'm first on the list if I want one :D

yeah, that sounds about right. Except at my store we placed orders far more often, and got them far less frequently.
I waited about 4 months to get a new UV back in '05.

OK, so headstock is the only real option then? I hate ordering parts through shops as it sucks ass and means I have to explain exactly what I need...

How about Rich at Ibanezrules? You might end up paying $2000 for that plastic bit, but I'm sure he'd have some in stock

Right, just been to ibanez rules. Rich is good for parts, and seeing as I'm at a crisis needing nut pad screws it looks like he'll be able to sort me out a whole load of crap in one go :)

15$, i know he's expensive, but he does have pretty much everything you'd ever need!

Then once i get this stuff I can get round to rewiring the 540s7 with new selector switch, new plastic thing, new barrel jack... Hell, everything new really.

Then it'll be off to redo the 1077 as I took the pickups out yesterday!

He's not expensive on everything. He sells bridges cheaper than Ibanez, for starters.

True, he's a lot cheaper than any UK dealers, and he's very thorough. ANy cost with him is actually well spent in my opinion :)

His service is damn good too. Sure, his prices are high for the US, but they're cheap for the UK. That's the only reason I bought my UV777PBK neck from him.

he charges $1000 more for an 8427 than ordering right from Ikebe. No setup is worth that.

the other thing about buying "new" guitars from Ibanez Rules that nobody seems to realize is that technically those guitars aren't "new" because he isn't an Ibanez dealer, so they aren't under warranty. Rich offers a limited warranty of his own, but those guitars don't have the factory warranty because they are being resold by someone who isn't a dealer.

but judging from all the FS ads here where people say "guitar still has the warranty cards," lots of buyers from other places don't understand this either.

Rich gave me a warranty on my RG 20th, plus I live in a different part of the world. Sure, he isn't an official Ibanez dealer but he will take care of his customers 100%. Throughout the whole buying process Rich was absolutely top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again from him. It's worth it for the peace of mind, knowing you are getting a great guitar, because if it doesn't meet his personal standards (which are very high, and rightly so) then he won't sell it. How many stores do this?

How many stores go around buying stuff for cheap on ebay, setting it up and up charging it by 300-1000$?
I remember he had 540S7 for around 900$ on his site. it was beat to hell, had a huge slash mark on the back of the headstock, etc. I assumed it was a really rare guitar. then i saw some on ebay in excellent condition go for around 600$. I remember when he was selling UV7BK's for like 1500$ (still is, heh) a few years ago. I bought my first one for 600$ and it came with an extra neck. Now, granted, i got 'lucky', i still don't see what a 500-1000$ up charge gets me that i cant get myself for way less.
The second UV7BK i bought was in nearly mint condition, i paid a grand even for it. And he's got ones on his site that have been beaten to hell that he charges 500$ more for.
