Especially the beginning. The acoustic guitar sounds like it's in 4 and it seems like the drummer is accenting off beats which I can't even count.. Then after the intro with acoustic I have no idea what's happening.

As far as I can tell, the entire segment is in 8/4 but not all snare hits are on the count.
    Code:
    -1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-
    -----x------x----
    -o-o---oo-o------

This is the basic kick/snare pattern of the part after the intro.

I'll give it a crack just for fun.

    Sorry if anything is incorrect.

I believe the intro and after are both in 4. The drummer is accenting particular 16th notes that are still in 4.

Really quick lets talk about how to count 16th notes so you can figure this out in the future! I count them 1E+A 2E+A 3E+A 4E+A . The +'s are pronounced like "And" and the A's like "Uh". The number and E are pronounced as they are
    Example: One E And Uh.
Sorry if you already know this, but figured I'd shoot it out so my reply makes sense.

The drummers hits I believe are as follows in this order. The A of beat 4, which is why it feels like just almost comes in on beat 1, but doesn't. It could be considered a pickup note. The next accent is on the + and A of beat 1.

It continues to do that pattern again and this time adding hits on Beat 3, Beat 4 and the A of said beat 4. After that we are simply going back to the previous pattern, +A of 1, A of 4, and +A of 1 before going for a fill and entering the beat.

This is tricky to count and took me a few tries. I hope I helped in some way :)

Oh! And cool track, I enjoyed it :)

Really totally unrelated, but Josh Middleton / Sylosis is one of the best things that happened to metal in the last 10 years.

I was gonna buy their album, but they only sell it through their website for some bizarre reason. Why in the world would a band go through the trouble of setting up their own sales site? That's so inconvenient, AND I have to trust them with my information, which I don't.

...because they make more money from it. All other options take a massive cut. It's not abnormal really. They're using a platform site (guessing Wix) and the checkout goes through Paypal. By "getting your information," are you afraid of them having it personally? Because if it all went through Amazon, all the info that they're getting from you when the transaction is through Paypal is exactly the same as what Amazon would have sent them.
Unless you've got the mob out to get you, I'm not sure what you're so afraid of here that you trust anyone else with.

Source: I sell on a Wix platform and through Amazon. Take Stripe and Paypal as payments.

No, they gather billing information before sending you to Paypal. It's not that I mind THEM having the information, I just don't trust them with storing it securely, purely out of my own paranoia. I checked the HTML and they're using woocommerce and Wordpress, which means they're probably using templates they bought from a third party, which means they probably don't have a dedicated developer checking for any potential issues or making sure their Wordpress and woocommerce are up to date, which just makes it iffy for me personally. If they were just sending me to Paypal and letting them handle everything it'd be fine, it's them also grabbing my billing info on their website that I don't like.

I understand that they don't have to pay Amazon / Apple whatever a cut if they sell through their website, but does the added barrier to purchase make it worth it? It's a lot easier to hit "buy with 1-click" on Amazon and have it in your library than having to go through a whole signup process on yet another website, just to buy an album.

You're way too paranoid about something happening, I buy band merch all the time through band's personal stores and have never once had an issue.

Companies are held by law to store information securely and not to disclose it (so the band and anyone working with them for the site), even if someone got your billing information not many people have use for it as they can't really do anything with it.

It's a solo project... Bought it last year, it's great, and no, nobody has stolen my CC info from it.
