Posted about my NGD a couple weeks ago, was finally able to make a video clip.

    recorded with a q3hd.

stock pickups still, some slop here and there but its tolerable.

    through the REAL amp

this one is through my practice amp.

sounds really good. I really want to check out a Hydra or a Chimera.

it is quite fat, im hoping for a pickup with a tighter low end some day.. thinking about a crunch lab or a duncan custom but i think with the duncan my guitar would get too growly and maybe too fat.. not sure as im just going off what other have said.

and thanks for the compliments guys i appreciate it.

mhenson, James Peters does do a more recent mod to his Hydras than the one i have for more focus and aggression "without adding more hair" as he put it. he said he'd re mod mine free of charge i just have to pay the shipping, so ill make another clip when i one day get that done. he's an awesome guy to deal with, always has lots of input when it comes to talking about tone. also he has 2 new models coming out soon apparently.

anyhow, somehow i think the chimera would be less fat and more razor tight, havent really sat down with one though. I owned an ENGL Savage before the hydra/halo(clean channel) and while i liked the savage better for punishing brutal tight tones, i like the Peters better for everything else. it shows your technique more and has a great clean channel.

^ Yeah. James is a great guy. I'd love to get one of his amps, I'd just like to try one first. I afraid they'd be pretty similar sounding to my Nitro. I was told that he was gonna do something that is a cross between a Hydra and a Chimera. That'd be right up my alley. I'd just want a single channel.

i was fortunate enough to find someone in my area with a couple of his amps.

Props on your chops man, that second video is very impressive. You've clearly put some quality shed time in over the years.

But mainly congrats on that Carvin. The DC727 is hard to top. My third one will arrive next month!

thanks! I have put a good amount of time into my shredding accuracy.. too much actually to the point where my improvising skills have started to lack big time so now I have to build those back up as well as some more theory.

Im definately loving the dc727, it has quite possibly made me a Carvin man for life.
