Isn't this a pretty popular opinion?
The unpopular opinion puffin becomes the popular opinion puffin when the joke gets run into the ground.
This guy gets it.
Coheed and Cambria envelopes like 45% of my musical inspiration, they wouldn't be C&C without Claudio.
This is the absolute truth.
Yes, you can get an AMEN! +1000 to this. It just looks sooo weird!
Someone earlier mentioned that Metallicas best tone was on Load/Re-load. I raise you a St. Anger.
I see some opinions on here that I whole-heartedly disagree with, and I get all ready to post a dissent, but then I remember the whole POINT of the thread is to post things that people disagree with, and I'm all, "Arrgghh!" and frustrated.
And did someone on here say they like small mousy women? I thought small mousy women were generally regarded as the most attractive, no? (This is in response to Sicarius, above.)
Whoever said this is correct. Metallica with a Dual Recto + Mark series blended together is the greatest thing ever.
Here's something to go with my earlier distaste of Diezel...
James Hetfield should have never picked up a VH4. His tone is dogshit with this amp. He needs to go back to using Wizards and Rectos instead of blending the VH4 with the Triaxis.
Screw tubes I like my Fractal
Fenders are awesome metal machines
- Djent is a fad and is sure to pass (Thank god)
- I would take an EBMM over a blackmachine any day of the week
- Fractal's all sound the same to me (Yes I owned one)
- Periphery is like modern day Backstreet Boys
- BKP's are horribly overrated
- I dont care for any new music being put out lately (with the exception of a few)
- I love ALL opeth.
Chrome hardware can be cool.
Vintage trems are underrated and the Gotoh 510 is god tier.
Both are true, especially the vintage trems. 2-point trems like the Wilkinson, Gotoh 510, or Fender American bridges are ....ing amazing.
If only I could neg you.
Best comments in the thread. Had to +Rep for you both.
-Meshuggah is even more boring that Dream Theater.
-Gold hardware on guitars, should be illegal.
-EMG's are absolutely great. Even for clean tones.
-Headless guitars look ridiculous 95% of the time.
-Nu-Metal is indeed metal. And there were some pretty bad ass Nu-Metal bands.
-Quite a few of the first wave metalcore bands were awesome.
-I love the US military and am grateful to the men and women who serve in it.
-Michael Brown was asking for it.
-The day Obama is out of office, can't get here soon enough.
Edit -All In Flames albums are great.
I'm actually curious about the people who claim all Meshuggah albums suck... Did you guys just listen to everything post-Nothing?
I'm legit curious, because I find Meshuggah's music took a drastic change when they started using 8-strings for Nothing. Before they did that, they were more of a technical thrash band, while everything after became a lot more monotonous. I get pretty bored easily of the post-Nothing albums (which is a pretty damn unpopular opinion here), but I quite love the pre-nothing stuff, and I find Contradictions Collapse to be a masterpiece.
My 94 Tele + SD Hot Rail set actually did Tool sounds pretty well. I miss that guitar....
Also, Pale Communion was one of Opeth's better records, and I want to hear another album like this.
Unpopular opinions? Okay I'll bite...
-There have been far too many unpopular opinion threads and I still could not care less about anyone's unpopular opinions.
Some of these I've already voiced, but whatever:
-Epitaph > Onset
-Ihsahn >> Emperor
-Most death metal pre-1990 was absolutely terrible
-Fleetwood Mac > You
-Neil Young also > You
-Opeth doesn't need growling, Mikael's voice is beautiful
-Soundgarden is one of the greatest rock groups of all time
-Tosin Abasi is a wonderful guitarist, but needs a co-writer to keep him focused
And finally the really bad ones:
-Harsh vocals are far cheesier than anything in power metal
-Christopher Lee's metal albums are terrible but a lot of fun
I like natural boobs
Wait, you mean that each sounds like the other ones - the machines themselves, or that every patch sounds alike? I would HOPE each machine sounds like the others!
Here's my unpopular opinion of the day: I think someone needs to explain to me WTF a puffin is. Unless it is, in fact, a tiny penguin looking bird, in which case I think someone needs to explain to me exactly how that works in this context.
