Don't get me wrong, I already do that - I already don't buy anyone anything. Haven't done it for years now. It's expected at this point, but family still doesn't like it. I'd rather go that much farther and just no go at all. Take the week off to stay home and just relax, do whatever. No xmas songs, no fighting through crowds of people, no commercialism, no religion, no forced family interaction, etc., just skip the whole thing. I'd take a week long nap.

I can stand Christmas music... What I CAN'T stand is 24 hour Christmas music radio programming and the assholes at my old job who decided it would be a good idea to play it all day over the warehouse speakers during peak season when we're working a shit-ton of overtime!

So, for twelve hours, I get to listen to Crosby, Sinatra and the like sing a few well-known Christmas tunes, mixed in with those SAME tunes butchered by random Pop stars, plus the only song anyone in my generation remembers Wham for, and John Lennon's "A Very Anti-War Christmas." Over... and over... and over....

I'd be thankful for that one Trans-Siberian Orchestra tune bringing some Symphonic Metal into the mix, but by the time it's over, I'm just wishing I was back at home listening to Nightwish... just in time to hear some jackoff who thinks he can add soul to "Jingle Bells" if he just slows down the tempo and holds his notes for longer than needed...

I guess my unpopular opinion is that I really, really like Christmas music and the whole build up to Christmas.

Ok, so I hate "modern" Christmas tunes, with the aforementioned random pop stars, but those old fashioned "rat-pack" singers just take me right back to my childhood Christmases.

I also love the decorations, trees, lights and everything.

As soon as I left retail, Christmas became incredible to me, even with my own views on forced gift-giving and family interactions; the whole Christmas aesthetic is my jam, and it actually puts me in a good mood somehow

Do they drink malort in Sweden? I know it was a Swedish immigrant who popularized it in Chicago.

For those of you who've never had it, malort is a grapefruit and wormwood flavored booze that is pretty famous for people not liking the way it tastes

Having said that, I actually like it.

Here's a very unpopular opinion, I'll imagine: Most liquor tastes like shit. I'll never get why Bud Light, Budweiser, and Coor's Light get shit as beers and get called piss water when people are drinking shit that just ruins the taste of whatever flavor they've added to it. I can barely taste the alcohol in Budweiser, which is why I drink it. All those thick, dark beers can go fuck right off. Bitter for the sake of bitter? Hell no. Fuck all your liquor, fuck all your IPA beers, fuck all your little fancy mixed drinks. I'll stick with my pisswater.

I think that whiskey, like beer, CAN taste good or bad depending on what you get. I don't hate any whiskeys, but I do hate some beers.

Puked out enough whiskey, vodka, and tequila over the years to never care for any of them again... at least not straight.

Plenty of dark beers, IPA'S, etc... that I just don't care for. The beers that I DO still enjoy, absolutely must be ice cold or they're getting poured out. Warm beer just sucks ass.. I don't care what brand/ type it is.

Maybe not unpopular here, but it's led to many very heated arguments within my group of friends....

...Metallica's latest album is really good...like, on par with "...And Justice For All" good.

On the topic of Metallica, their guitar tones are terrible and their mixes are worse. I dig the songs still though.

If a beer has an IBU over 40-50 it's usually dogshit. I fucking hate overly hopped beers, and I especially hate how a lot of people have developed a taste for said shitty overly hopped beers. Trying to balance the bitterness with fruit flavors doesn't fucking work and if I want fruity drinks I'll drink a radler, lambic or a mixed drink, not some 12$ a 6 pack dogshit mango IPA.

I kind of dislike beer and most alcoholic drinks. I even hate sodas/softdrinks or canned IceTeas. :barf: :fawk:

IPA arms race is the same as “how fucking hot can I make this food look a ghost pepper in my popscicles why won’t any woman love me?”

    It. Doesn’t. Taste. Good.

But whiskey and bourbon are great and you’re all wrong forever. Lol.
