And what about the signature series? I need it big and clear, I'll use it in drop A and want the palm mutes to rumble and the chords to be clear and trebly. How are the Dirty Heshers for that?

The Dirty Heshers are similar to the Nitro Hemi but with smoother highs.

The Lifers are similar to the Drop & Gains but with smoother highs and slightly bigger lows.

Then yes, those measurements should be roughly the same, perhaps slightly smaller if anything.

It appears that the nitro hemi 7 and the drop & gain 7 have soapbar sized housings? Do they come as passive sized?

The size specifications on those pickups are here: http://www.lacemusic.com/pdf/D&G_NH.pdf

Those are the only housings that we currently offer for those pickups.

7 string dually's would be a HUGE seller because of the versatility that's possible.

Hi! I am having a guitar built that will have lace alumitones and 250k pots (bolt on construction). I get to choose body, neck and fingerboard woods. Default is alder body and roasted maple neck/board. My preferred tone is a slightly more modern than classic rock sound (ala coheed and cambria?), I like my band's tone on this ep for example: Seagate
Would I be wiser to choose different woods? For example, mahogany body and neck, rosewood board, given my tonal preferences and the alumitones? Thanks!

Lace Music Products is unveiling its latest offering in the revolutionary Alumitone design, the SC7 and SC8 single coil for extended range guitars.
The new models are based on Lace's patented Alumitone technology for extended range guitars which already include the X-Bar and Deathbar sized pickups. Lace has received requests from players around the world to make a single coil version for both 7 and 8 string guitar.
The new SC7 and SC8 pickups are like no other pickup design on the market. Alumitone advantages include zero noise, light weight design with no need for a battery either internal or external. The new passive 7 and 8 string pickups are available in chrome or black anodize.
    Suggested retailprice is $ 129.99

I have a Mayones Setius baritone guitar, and I don't really like the EMGs in it anymore. The sound lacks a certain trait to it that I can't really describe, probably the punch. I've been looking into Lace and found that I would probably like the hot Drop n Gain set. But then I stumbled upon the Dually Red/Red with a resistance of a whopping 30,5k! Is this an actually higher output humbucker than the Drop n Gains? Or is it just differently voiced? Could I do ultra heavy sludge/stoner/doom with it?

Might as well ask here, since my question in the RG8 Mod Thread went unanswered.

Do the Deathbar and X-Bar drop right into an RG8 route? I'm guessing it'd be the 4.0 sized?

    Thanks!

I was looking at the Lace Store page and saw that there are both Deathbar 3.5's and Deathbucker 7's. They both seem to have the same description. What's the difference?

the deathbucker 7 is a normal 7 string pickup route. deathbar 3.5" is normal 8 string route or soapbar 7 string route sized. It's literally just a size difference.

Just to double-check, if I've got Alumatone Neck & Bridge pick-ups, can I use them Series/Parallel or with a blend pot?
