Caught this on Youtube earlier - so so good man!
It sounds like this release is going to be a lot more towards the stuff on your old Halcyon soundcloud, rather than the Halcyon album style? I dig it!

not really intentional, but i guess the pastures EP was more periphery influenced and the older stuff more DT influenced, and this again is more DT influenced, but of the other two tracks, one is kinda prog/fusion and the other a weird post-rock sorta thing so... its all just kinda whatever comes out of me at a given time  glad you like it man :)

ill let you know when i agree that i possess them :fawk:

    thanks brah!

Awesome, cannot wait for this! Didn't know you used sampled bass though, must be easier than using a real bass?

    no.

yeah i used a real bass on everything up to this point, except a few soundcloud demos, but with my limited gear and bass ability i found trilian does a better job than i could  although im thinking of bringing real bass back/getting other people to record bass parts for me

Ill have you know pastures is easily in my top 10 albums and that list includes DT and Opeth etc. You should have been on toontracks metal guitar gods! May I ask, what trillian bass do you use? Im still shaky with it because it sounds so "sampled"

wow man thanks! i think on this its the studio bisonette one, it sounds pretty shitty on repetitive chugging but i reckon it can sound pretty good on more interesting bass lines. i think im gonna move back to recording real bass soon though

    cheers!

will be out by the end of the year i promise! even though i keep pushing it back cos im endlessly tweaking things
