Damn, getting more curious about the Hannes bridge myself now.
I would definitely put a lot of faith in any of Sullys suggestions. Did you put a deposit down?

Yea, I've been really intrigued by the design of the Hannes, and as far as I know they've only been seen on custom orders and few at that.

I just emailed Sully I'm ready, so whenever he gets back to me.

My 624 has a Hannes because I prefer fix bridges and everything I read about them sounded great to me. I love the bridge on my 624 and the Sully Ghost Elita will have a Hannes on it also.

I have only seen them on custom orders also. Seen one or two on ESP customs. I have masterbuilt King V on order that Jackson says will be the first King V with a Hannes they have done.

What do you like about the Hannes over, let's say, Hipshot?

I like the look of the Hannes more than the Hipshot hardtail (I'm not a fan of the Hipshot's U shaped saddles) as well as the way the Hannes feels. The saddles seem to be made of similar material to Graph Tech saddles. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, though.

Muchas gracias. Do you notice the significant tonal difference that Schaller claims to offer?

I with Sully on I like the look, I don't like the hipshot and how there are allen screws where you palm mute. I like that each string is separate from each other which lessens sympathetic vibrations.

My 624 seems to sustain notes really well with the Hannes.

Schaller collaborated with Graph Tech in designing the saddles so I would suspect it's the same coating.

I don't always worry too much about that stuff because there are so many variables, ya know? As long as the guitar is acoustically resonant, I'm generally a happy guy.

7 string 624 (724? 6247?): lightweight mahogany body, spanish cedar/wenge neck, birdseye maple fretboard. Oh, and it's lefty, but strung righty, and will be pink. :) The body was finished after the photo, but you get the idea.

I think I could do slash inlays like that, but I fear it would be with a lot of hassle. How do you cut those inlay slots in a convenient way?

    NGD post for my 624T!!

Amazing guitar, awesome luthier! Very stoked to see what other builds people get and to hopefully get back in line myself at some point!

Spoke to Sully recently on a 624T build. Trying to decide between trans white and solid white (both with black binding all around). One second I want one, the next the other. I don't even know what that fretboard is above but that's insane! Is that the mysterious pale moon ebony I keep hearing about?

What would be the wood underneath? I like trans white over figured maple or swamp ash. But for less grainy woods, I think solid white would look better. The fretboard above is pale moon ebony, as is the headstock. The figuring varies a lot by piece.
