Wow. So what the heck do these things actually cost? As an owner of many expensive customs you'd think I wouldn't be asking the question, but what's so magical about these that they're worth over $7000?

Im probably wrong, Idk. but to my knowledge, the guitars labeled "#xxx" are the ones built directly by ola himself, which are specially handchosen woods, more flexible specs, and just overall superior quality by far compared to the s7/washburn bodens etc. i may be wrong, but im pretty sure hes selling it for the price he payed ola to directly build it, eliminating the wait time. cause i do believe one from ola costs around there.

Yeah, I suppose so. I'm a huuuuge fan of Ola Strandberg's, but I wouldn't pay anywhere near that for a strandy. I guess I'm just not the target audience. Good on him, though, if he's created a market where he can make a good income from his craft. Maybe when other luthiers see this they'll be more motivated to innovate rather than just tweak standard shapes and expect people to pay a lot.

As a guy who's build with Ola is about half through, I'll hint that there's a bit of a markup at play here ;) Really it boils down to how close these specs match your own, how important it is to you that Ola himself be the one to build it, and how much you value not having to wait 3+ years.

The Washburns look like pretty good deals if you're conservative on specs.

A friend of mine was the original owner of this guitar. He didn't really vibe with it the way he was hoping, so he sold it. Now, it is being sold by the second owner. I think this is one of the nicest looking instruments Strandberg has built..

This was for sale a while back on the fractal audio forums. Original owner was selling it, was chasing around $5k iirc. Awesome looking guitar.

I like it more than #6  at least aesthetically. I'll likely never be within 100 miles of a real strandy, so that's about all I've got to base my opinion on
