    This depresses me immensely. I've been a fan of his stories for years. I used to even take my lunch break at 1:00 on Thursdays so that I could sit and listen to reruns of him on the radio. I even got to see him live about a year and a half ago, apparently right around the time that he was diagnosed with cancer.

    For those who don't know him, Stuart McLean is the man behind the "Vinyl Cafe" story series, a great slice-of-life series of stories.

    Listened to vinyl cafe all the time. Was really sad to hear this :(

    Vinyl Cafe was a feature of my young and teenage life. :(

    I remember the first time I saw him on a CBC TV special and I thought, "That skinny white guy has that voice?"
