    I need a strat. Preferably Drew's :agreed:

Seriously, what other guitar can produce these different types of tones?

I have a tele, which also produces great tone but is pentultimate to the tone from a strat.

Maybe this should be a Fender tone thread?

But only as long as we aren't talking about their high gain amps

    Strats.

Even Sepultura forged metal on those. But now is the time for... SRV!

    Mad rockin'.

Strats are the reason I bought a guitar with coil-splitting. Granted it's not the same, but eventually i'll be making a strat from Warmoth. :D

Always been a big Strat fan. Granted I prefer mine with a Floyd and either a single or full sized humbucker in the bridge.

I have a design in my head for an uber 7-string Strat/Universe type guitar.

When I see a Strat with the tobacco sunburst finish and that white pickguard, I sign in dreamy contentment. I love Strats.

I love Strats. I once played my Strat live at a show right after I put down my 7620 and UV. A few people (a couple of them guitar players) said that my Strat's tone blew away the tone coming from both my 7s. It plays great and it sounds great! :yesway:

I know, but still... some similarities. It's the strat thing you said that made me do the link. Tobbacco sunburst FTW.

I'm a huge fan of the tone from a strats neck pickup.
In fact on my ct4m I tend to run the neck only and coil split it off..not quite the same, but I like it enough
