Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar:
I am selling a 9.9/10 minty Strandberg Boden OS7 in purple, with a maple board, black hardware, a Strandberg-branded Lace X-bar in the neck, and a Lace Deathbar in the bridge. I have had this for over a year, but have not played it much at all recently, and my car has kinda taken over as my main expensive hobby.

The only blemishes are from the factory, with a couple little tiny dots under the purple finish - you really have to go hunting for them. I'll try to show them in the pics. After playing, some very slight shine can appear under the right hand, but it wipes off back to satin.

Will come w the original soft case, and a few sets of Strandberg strings.

This thing sounds awesome for cleans, heavies, and everything in between. If you've not played an EndurNeck, it is unbelievably comfortable and non-fatiguing. I would say with confidence that this instrument made me a better player both technically and creatively.

I am selling to recoup some holiday costs, and possibly to get back into 6-string Drop C metal playing - just haven't been spending much quality time w the Strandberg in the last few months.

    Modifications (if any):
I swapped in a Lace Deathbar to the bridge pup position, and unhooked the tone pot. I originally intended to put in a miniswitch for coil splits in that location, but just never got around to it. I can hook this back up at buyer's request, or include the miniswitch for you to install.

    Accessories (hardshell case etc):
Soft shell case, 3 sets of Strandberg strings

    Location (City,State or City,Country):

    Denver, CO

    International OK? :

    Probably not

Price (include currency and if firm/obo):

$1650 shipped in the US OBO

Would possible consider trades + cash for Strandberg OS6, ESP Horizon, or Ibanez RGT. Not interested in anything else at the moment, and need to get some cash out of this so no straight trades.

    Pics:

These are from the original listing on Reverb when I bought it - the bridge pup has been changed, and there's one less string set now:

More original pics coming soon, I'm in LA w girlfriend's family for Xmas and will post more next week when I'm back home.

Nice guitar , I have a Deathbar at the bridge , and never tried the X-bar bridge , how would you compare the two pickups in the bridge spot ?

Xbar bridge has noticeably less output, and a 'wider' sound with an EQ that sounds a bit more scooped.

The Deathbar has a more 'focused' sound, greater output, slightly more compression (that's relative, no lace's are very compressed like other high-output pups), and a hump in the mids.

I'd say Xbar is great for cleans and mid gain, a bit loose on metal but still useable.. Deathbar is great for metal and mid gain, a bit aggressive for cleans but still useable. Note that I did not try either one with the coil tap..

Also, bump - I got the tone pot back in working order this afternoon. Still interested in 6-string metal machines plus cash! Beaters/players are very welcome, I'm not looking for a case queen :)

It matches what I was figured out , thanks for you useful answer .
The coil tap is fantastic on those pickups , like Lace write , no drop in output but a thinner sound very useful .

Honestly I’m watching this every day and hoping by the time I file taxes and get my return it’s still available.

    It’s not multiscale, correct?

Ok cool. Couldn’t quite tell from the pictures but my eyes might have been deceiving me. Wouldn’t affect my want to buy either way.
