OH MY GOD
Tell me there was an NGD thread.
First, sorry to hear that.
Secondly, maybe post the serial numbers of the guitars if possible? I don't mean pictures, but typed out on here so that google can catch it. I don't know about others but I tend to look up the serial number of used guitars I'm interested in buying for this specific reason, so it might not hurt to have it out there. It'll taint them on the net basically...google picks up sso threads and content within topics quite easily. If anything, talk to the detective in charge about this, and see if he agrees. (there may be some reason they wouldn't want that info out there, not sure)
Dont know whether to cry or laugh.....
You could have used those posts to do both.
Dude does the universe hate you having nice guitars????? Shit man
I trust people too much I guess. I should be happy with what I have but I have such bad Gas sometimes.
I ended up painting the rock and putting it in my wife's garden as a reminder. Lol my 3 year old kid asked me what was in the box and I said a $2000 rock. He replies "Oooooohhhhh it's pretty"
Regadless of how bad this situation is, this is too funny . I can just imagine the kid standing in awe in front of the rock.
That is a pretty healthy way to get over that shit...
Thanks Man, can't change the past just change the way I do things in the future.
We’ll see what tune you’re singing in February, when Misha’s making one of his scheduled posting weeks to pimp his NAMM-announced signature rocks.
Better start saving, now: Standard RaGNAR-Rock™ and limited-edition Iron Pyrite finish will initially be offered in limited quantities to Behringer/Bugera dealers through Starin for 2nd quarter 2018 preorder.
We really need a stolen guitar/gear sticky. My stuff is out there floating around from a 2013 burglary. Just had 3 fiddles jacked but got them back. Lot of our stuff is very specialized and uncommon in this forum. We're from all states and countries here.
Sorry for the delay, but I have an update. First off, insurance is going to pay out, so at least I will be able to buy a new guitar. Secondly, the serial numbers are:
Ibanez - F1406791
Navigator - 130701
PRS SE.... no clue
If you spot either #1 or #2 please let me know!
Ah so sorry man. I hope you get them back.
is it common for thieves to some how scratch/file off the serial numbers?
Probably depends on the thief and what their plans are with the instrument. 'Round here, a stolen guitar's gonna be in the pawn shop- with the proceeds cooking in a spoon- before the owner's finished dialing the police.
Last month, we started renting a storage unit. Now, I understand that for insurance purposes they need to make sure that nobody's storing their collection of oily rags, fireworks, and priceless antiques, but it's also kind of funny that they ask you what you're going to be storing there because of the immediate paranoia the question causes. "A bunch of crummy holiday decorations that don't fit in our basement," was the reply.
