I saw him in another movie (not Star Trek) and was impressed with his acting.

So many seem to go at 27. Such a shame.

    R.I.P.

EDIT: Just read the details of this, and I have to say, it's one of the most "final destiny" sounding scenarios I've heard. Frankly, I'm having a hard time believing it.

I read it and was like "wait, how?" But if he was standing behind it and looked away and it clipped him...not hard to see how it could have gone down. So, so sad.

It sounds like he left the car in gear on accident, then left the vehicle, perhaps to get the mail, and the vehicle rolled back, pinning him against the gate to his driveway. Looks like a Jeep Cherokee. IIRC, there was a recall on that automobile, because of several cases of them rolling away whilst in park.

Car found running, in Neutral, steep drive way..... He was between car and brick mailbox.

    Sounds rough.

Gear shift on Jeeps has been a recall issue with no fix as of yet. I suspect this was the case as I have a recent model and can attest that getting it into park sometimes is a pain in the ass.
