Here on SS.org over the years, there have been lively discussions about life in p,aces other than Earth.

Some claimed that we are regularly visited by extraterrestrials, that abductions are a fact of life, that aliens are about to reveal themselves, that aliens helped build the pyramids, and that government conspiracies hiding the existence of intelligent life elsewhere were about to be blown wide open.

Well, we're a few years past a lot of those predictions of imminent revelations, and nothing happened.

There have also been surprising discoveries, like the possible fossilized microbes in a rock likely blown off of Mars, the discovery of liquid water on Mars and on various other bodies in the solar system, and the discovery of lifeforms here on Earth living in environments previously thought inhospitable to life.

    Oh. And this just happened.

    Probably nothing.

But exciting to see where this evidence goes.

Given the anomalies, there will be something neat on the other side of the search for answers when we determine what is really going on, in the same way pulsars turned out to be interesting.

Regardless of what it turns out to be, I think this will garner support for more deep observations to find other anomalies.

Not just to gather more observations, but also to donate CPU cycles to grind through all the data which still hasn't been sifted.

    +1.

The most disappointing thing for me is that it might take a very, very long time for us to see it/find anything, or at least my generation. Like what actor, David Morse explained to Jodie Foster in the movie, Contact (1997). You guys aren't ready for this. When you are, we'll show ya.

Man, the explorations, the possibilities, the sights, the technology, etc, etc, etc. It's a high knowing/not knowing what's out there. :agreed:
