Here's the deal. I've been wanting to upgrade my rig for some time, I've been playing larger gigs again after a move. I'm looking for an amp head and a 4x12 cab.

The cab I've been looking at has 4 Celestion Greenbacks in it, I however want to mix in two G12H:s for a bit more bottom end. Does it matter if I position the speakers in a cross pattern (with similar speakers diagonally to each other), or besides (for example two greenbacks at the bottom and two G12H at the top)?

The x pattern is pretty standard protocol.

Yeah the x-pattern just blends the different tonalities more completely than the leftside/rightside, and especially more then the 2on bottom and 2on top placement.
