Took the day off to go and survey a landscape project which didn't take as long as thought it would so guess what happened when I got home with some rare free time ? :frantic:

I was in such a good mood that I decided to give it a ferret made from the dreaded Black Palmira :noplease:

I got bored shitless sitting around the house so off to the workshop to try and glue a head plate on this neck, one handed
Had a nightmare trying to use normal clamps and remembered i had these really powerful spring clamps , a bit fiddly but successful :fever:

Still building with a hole in one hand. You're a living legend.

I can just imagine if you somehow lost both your hands, you'd still be building the next day with just your feet. I broke a single toe and was useless for a month.

    hahaha that's is probably true.

I'm not the least bit surprised that he's building guitars even though he's off from work for building guitars

I'm getting the hang of this one handed stuff now. I managed to get the frets in today, it took me hours and I bashed my fingers a few times fiddling about with the frets. I didn't even think about levelling
It was such a nice day so i dyed and cleared the head stock, that was an easy one .

I'd go for a maple ferret with that purple, but then again: they look really ugly once they start getting dirty/grey...

Found this one today and immediately hated that top. Sanded all the paint off the body and started again with a veneer over the spalt top.

    Clamptastic.

Even with an injury ya can't stay away from it can you, I know the feeling well and the build is looking good.

It just didn't do anything for me even though I guess it was a nice bit of spalt Beech.

    Your correct of course
