The Ring 2 (US film). While the original was pretty awesome, the sequel was vomit-inducing-ly absolutely horrible.

I can think of a lot more, but for most of the examples that come to mind, the original sucked quite a bit too...

    I quite liked Jaws 2.
The 2 Matrix sequels? Not awful but really not that good compared to the original.
Back to the Future II was a bit smelly.
Beverly Hills Cop II and III were absolute wank whereas the first is a classic.
The new Star Wars films. Dog shit.
Weekend at Bernies 2. What the fuck were they thinking?

+3 for the Matrix sequels. The original was great and the two sequels were both craaaap.

Oh my god! I thought so, too.l 1 was so bad-ass, original, and scary, whereas 2 was a syeaming pile of donkey dung.

Totally agree on Highlander 2, BTW. In fact, that is one of cult moviedoms most famously bad and failed sequels. The Planet Zeist?! What the fuck?!

Highlander 2 was maybe the worst sequel ever.
I just saw Scary Movie 4, it absolutely blew.

I loved the Star Wars prequels, of course. Of course, I think Lucas could've done better with the casting & directing, but I love the storylines and the action involved.

Matrix Reloaded, I thought was really cool, and I was hoping they were setting it up so that in the 3rd film, the characters found out their 'reality' was actually just another level of control in the matrix, which would've been the logical conclusion after Neo's discussion with "the architect" & his ability to still influence the machines 'outside' the matrix. Also, leaving the ending of the 3 movies to a horribly choreographed kung fu fight in the air was a really bad fucking idea.

Come to think of it, didn't Connor MacLeod become "The One" at the end of Highlander? Man, that's a fucking plothole and a half, there shouldn't be any sequels then, or a Duncan MacLeod spinoff.*

Another bad sequel... Back to the Future III. Yeah, it's a fun & entertaining movie, but it has one plothole that's twisted my tits for years... Marty has one time machine that's out of gas. Guess what Doc has just buried in the cave? THE TIME MACHINE!! STILL WITH GAS IN IT!!!

 Hey, maybe syphon the gas from the time machine in the cave into the older version of the time machine Marty comes to 1885 in, & call it a movie!

    Predator 2 sucked.

Uhm... the Porky's sequels? Did you know they made a Revenge of the Nerds IV? I didn't even know there was a III!!!

Oh, and ReLoad. Load sucked, but holy hell Reload was fucking abysmal  yeah, I know we're not talking music, but the one time we actually get a music sequel, and it's absolutely terrible  **

*Did you know the actor that plays Duncan MacLeod is 47 years old now? And he's about to star in a Highlander trilogy of movies called "The Source"? Crazy, our 'action stars' are getting older & older, and hollywood can't come up with any new ones, it seems.

**but Metropolis pt. 2 was pretty damn good.

Seriously, wouldn't it save a lot of time to list the sequels that rock? We could probably count them on one hand. :D

    :(

I think Predator 2 is actually a better film and slightly more interesting premise than the first film. They are both to my mind absolute classics.

Metallica's Unforgiven Part II is shite. :)

The Toxic Avenger Part III - Not bad, just not as good as "Citizen Toxie"

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III - God, why!?

Halloween III: Season of the witch - wtf were they thinking on that one..."Lets make a film using a well known name, pretend its a sequel but involve nothing of the previous films and the franchises well known serial killer Michael Myers." "Yeah dude, sounds like a plan".

The Matrix Sequels - To be honest they seemed a bit unnecessary to me...that and I don't think Keanu Reeves can act.

Jaws 3 (aka Jaws 3D) - although after seeing it I still bought it because I found it hilariously funny, mainly out of how shit it was.

Jaws 4 - I bought it, not sure why...I guess it would've bugged me if I didn't own all of them.

Has anyone seen the "Shark Attack" movies?...I think theres three of them, they're most piss-your-pants funny use of stock-footage of sharks you're EVER going to see lol. Seriously, sharks swallowing luxury cruise liners in one mouthful, imagine, I can hear the impulse to buy the trilogy going on in your mind already.

Jurassic Park 3 - Paleontologically inaccurate (a bit harsh to criticise it on those merits alone but when the film is based around dinosaurs then it is a BIG factor) and...well, whoever scripted it needs to be slapped. Seriously...a velociraptor call instrument, how did the guy know what he was saying to them?...He could've been saying "Your momma's dryer than a lizards back passage!" for all he knows, but no, coincidentally he got it spot on.

Carlito's Way: Rise to Fame (prequel) - Seemed a bit unnecessary and frankly boring.

I would love to go on, films are my strong point.
