Hi guys! I have an RGA121 VLF sitting at home with an SD Screamin' Demon on the bridge. I'm quite happy with it and I was wondering if you guys could suggest a possible neck pickup to match with it. I really love the mids on the Dimarzio Liquifire though I'm not really sure if it'll match the Screaming' Demon. If you could offer more pickup suggestions it would be great! As much as I'd love BKP's I can't really afford them haha Thank you!
If you like the Liquifire, go for it! You could mount it on top of some foam to make is easier to adjust the height to match the output of the SD bridge. May also be worth looking at the Air Norton, Jazz, and '59
Thank you Sir! I was also quite curious about the Air Norton, from what I understand it's basically the Liquifire with less mid range right? Keep those suggestions coming!
I've had an Air Norton in the neck of my RGA121 for the last 7 years, I don't think I'll ever change it.
I thought the Evolution neck sounded killer in the RGA121 i had. It had a nice pick attack i really liked for solos. EDIT: I also really dig Air Norton, never tried in this guitar though.
Thanks for the input guys! I guess a Liquifire or an Air Norton is definitely an option for me now. Though to those of you who use the liquifire, do you guys also have a crunch lab in the bridge?
