Hi, earlier this morning I turn on my triple and was playing for a minute or two on channel 3 modern, and all of a sudden there was no gain. It was just a flat clean sound. I checked all the connections to make sure they were solid, so what i'm thinking is that I blew a tube. I'm thinking that a preamp tube went, because the amp still turns on, and there is still volume.

I'm no so savvy when it comes to tubes , if anyone can give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like your V1, which don't tend to last too long one Triples, they work the first couple of gain stage very hard, you can make it last longer by using less gain.

I can't think of anything else that it might be, if you have any other live preamp tubes spare (regardless of brand) pull your v1 tube and swap it for the one you know works and if that's working just buy a new 12AX7 for your v1.
