    Hi,
I,m looking for pickups to replace my stock ones in ibanez rgd2127z.

I have RG1570 (6-string) which pickups I replaced with dimarzio liquifire and crunchlab. I love the amount of clarity and warmth they give and how much less muddy they sound compared to the stock ones. I would like to get the same effect after I replace the ones on rgd2127z.
However I heard that crunchlab's and liquifire's 7 string versions aren't that good..
Perhaps someone has recommendations for what could I use instead? Currently I'm thinking about bareknuckle aftermaths. I've also heard good reviews about fishmans, but haven't investigated about those yet.

    Thanks!

I haven't tried the 7 string version of the crunch lab, but the liquifire is pretty good. It sounds smooth/warm on clean, with gain it sounds smooth and warm. I've tried the 6 and 7 string version and they're pretty much almost the same.

I have the 7 string versions of the Crunchlab and Liquifire in my JP70, they sound pretty damn good to me. The Crunchlab is really well balanced and gives the low B a lot of clarity.
Full disclosure, I've never used the 6 string versions of those pickups so I don't know how they compare. All I can say is that they sound great to me, and I can't imagine they vary that much between the 6 and 7 string versions.

Check out the Dimarzio Titans. Tight with wicked clarity and not excessively bright.

I've actually had both the CL/LF set AND the Titan set in my RGD2127fx and I prefer the Titans. They're supposedly like the Aftermaths, so I'd give them a consideration.

I would highly suggest Juggernauts. Their low mid bump is sorely needed in 26.5" scale 7 strings IMO.

    D-Sonic + Liquifire

I used to own the same guitar and hated the crunchlab that it came with, ended up swapping it for the stock Ibanez pup haha
