Hey there. I recently picked up an Ibanez RG1XXV, and want to throw a high output pickup in the bridge position. Being a huge fan of Blackouts, is there a passive equivalent?

Would a can of bees be considered passive?

    I kid.

I'd say the easiest to get a hold of would be the DiMarzio D-Activator X. It's loud, booming, and has really sharp mids. I hate it for the same reason I tend to hate Blackouts.

EQ-wize, the Nazgul is sort of close, but the Blackouts really have their own thing going on. Why not just use them?

    SD Duality?

Edit: Realised they're hybrid, anyway they might as well do the trick.

The Invaders sound quite similar and have never sounded muddy to me but with a 6505 is difficult to sound muddy..

Doesn't have the entire Duncan lineup, but worth comparing them yourself to see which sounds closest to the blackouts to you.

IME D Activators sounds more like EMGs...and Blackouts sound nothing like EMGs to my ears...the 7 string versions anyways.
