palm muting on 8-string... note goes flat.

    Nope as in no fixed bridge or nope as in that didn't work. If its a floating bridge, it could be that you're pressing too hard on the higher strings causing everything else to go flat?

    The bridge isn't the problem here. All the saddles are well-seated. I don't know what the problem is. I've just decided to palm mute harder on the bottom strings. :)

    I don't know if the same happens on my other 8-strings as they're not with me right now. :(

    You should also just try new strings, if you haven't already. Sometimes there are faulty strings straight from the box
