Got tired of using EMGs so i purchase these new pickups for my LTD H-1007, ever since i saw Keith Merrow and Ola Englund's demo videos on youtube on these pups i knew i had to have them. The Nazgul sounds really badass and tight, with a very nice combination of crunch and clarity, the low B sounds very clear and not muddy, plus the cleans are really good. The Sentient is very high output for a neck but doesn't sound distorted or anything like that, its sound very clean in my opinion. Anyway, here are some crappy phone pics.

Well, i took it to a tech, but basically what he did was take out the emgs plus its Volume pot, input jack and its cables. then he put the SD, plus the 500k Volume Pot and mono input jack, solder everything up in its place and that was it.

Ditto. Also check Matt's Music and any Duncan carrier can order a stock set easy. I'm running a Pegasus/Sentient in an RGD2127z. Fat and growly as ..... The bridge roars and has awesome dynamics. Sentient is fluid, fat, and loud. Very articulate. I gotta get a darker 7 to try out the Nazgúl!

Very cool! The H-1007 is a mahogany body, neck-thru, right? The tone was a lot brighter than I expected, what rig were you running through?

BTW, thanks for doing both pickups, clean and dirty! SO few remember to do that... :D

Have any clips of that, MAJ? I'm seriously thinking about getting a set and putting them in my old LTD M-207...

Glad to finally hear a non-endorsed recording of these. Some guy on youtube is complaining that the Nazgul doesn't have enough gain/output.

EDIT: Did anyone else notice different logo sizes on those?

I'll have a NPD for the Nazgul when I find time, cause I've just gotten one installed as well. But it has tons of output. I had the Distortion in before this, and when I was recording before and after DI's, the Nazgul was coming through several db's higher than the Distortion. :yesway:

OP, I'm playing it through almost the same guitar as you, and it sounds sick! The most definition since Webster's! HNGD! :hbang:
