So I was asleep and my girlfriend wakes me up with two packages. I just sold the nailbomb out of my esp horizon to help me buy a new 7 pickup for my 7620 and a dominion for my six string esp horizon. They just arrived here today and ill be taking it to my tech here very soon to get them installed. Thanks zimbloth for the bullet proof packaging on the dominion and the super fast shipping.

It's a great pickup. Be prepared for lots of mids and tons of clarity and punch!

Just had it installed and wow it is everything I was looking for. The chords are thick and punchy while still remaining clear. The pinch harmonics are very easy to pull off and sound really good. Single note and stacatto picking sounds very articulate and has super fast note response. It is very sensitive to your eq but is naturally high in low mids it almost sounds like a cross of ceramic and alinco pickup.

Yes indeed. It's taken the spot of "favorite Dimarzio" for me since I've owned it, killer pickup! I like it more than all of the other Dimarzio's I have (Crunch Lab, D-Activator, X2N, TZ, etc) and I'd LOOOOOOVE to see a 7 string version of it. I doubt it would ever happen but we could dream right?

I just installed the bridge pickup in my esp horizon and im getting an air norton s for my neck soon. I wish this could be made into a seven string but yeah i think we will be extremely lucky if that happened. I had a alinco bareknuckle nailbomb in it before and trust me i liked it but it was just missing something. This picked up where my search for the right pickup for my horizon left off with the nailbomb. I won't be looking to change this out for a while and i have gone through my share of pickups.

How do you compare it to the tone zone? Is it tighter? Does it sound as "big" as the tone zone? What about the harmonics?

I have never played the tone zone but it is indeed a huge sounding pickup. The notes are very tight and the harmonics are a breeze to pull off. It has a really thick mid low punch to it while remaining really clear. My guitar is mahogany neckthru with an ebony board and this pickup works well with it.

Lol for the price i tried this before a couple others i had in mind and im sticking to this. They really just took it a step further with this pickup. It is wound as a warm alinco pickup but has a ceramic magnet which really works imo. I have only put it through a jcm 2000 so far and it sounded good. I did have to adjust my eq and pull my mids back as I'm usally trying to go for a tone this achieves easily.

I've emailed them and they said that the Liquifire 7 neck pup would be the closest thing to the Dominion bridge.

    Seriously. Someone try this.

I'm thinking of ordering a Dominion for my Jackson SLS3 (similar to your Horizon). It's mahogany with an Ebony board. It's currently got dual Seymour Duncan '59's and gets muddy when tuning down to C Standard or Drop C. Have you tried the Dominion as low as C? If so, how does it hold up? I was considering the Seymour Duncan Distortion or Custom, but the Dominion has me intrigued. Thanks!

Not to step in but that pretty much describes how I have my dominion set up now. The only difference is my guitar is Alder (which is similar to mahogany just a bit more hollow). I have it set up in drop C and it maintains clarity like no other. I think you would really like it.

Can you give audio samples? And is it similar to BKP Holy Diver?
