I just picked up this beauty this evening. Traded my 1997 Parker Fly for it and couldnt be more satisfied. We both got exactly what we wanted out of the deal. Its the Aqua Sparkle one in the NAMM booth photo. And here are the rest of the photos. Suhr pictures by onlywear - Photobucket

Yeah dude, you hit that one out of the park. Great guitar.

The standard n the bottom row in the middle is amazing. The Modern immediately to it's left is finished in Rootbeer Drip - I have a maple boarded Standard in that finish and it's awesome

thanks all. it plays fantastic. the pickups have less output than i assumed they would. gonna play it with them for a week or so before i decide whether or not to drop some bkp's in it.

Me too, man. That guy has great taste in guitars. Does he play Suhr? I remember seeing him playing some really nice strat with a transparent orange finish

They were axctually made by John Suhr before he created his own company if I got it right. The brand is ""Pensa Suhr" and they were made around 1988/90. He also uses Les Pauls, Strats and PRS AFAIK.

Knopfler is the first guitar hero I listened to and Brothers in Arms was the first record I bought along with Brice Springsteen's "born in the USA" and a third from a french artist whose name will tell you nothing.
I've seen Dire Straits once some years ago now and it was an awesome show. It was the first time I saw a band or artist mod his songs so heavily for live use. (Likely some others have done so beforehand but I didn't get to see them). Telegraph Road remains one of my favorite songs as of today.

I hadn't noticed his rythm guitarist also played a Suhr that doesn't look too shabby either.

    Very nice axe firstly,

secondly damn that Knofler performance is awesome. His light attack and how he makes it look like he is doing absolutely nothing special is ridiculous.
