Hey guys, been a long time since my last post on here. Just picked up my custom from Allan Searls in Ballarat VIC Australia. He's absolutely nailed my vision with this guitar, and was on point with communication during the process. I was also sent a heap of photos (some of which are below) showing my guitar from it's early stages as wood blanks to the amazing finished product. He also included a personalised cavity plate with my name on it made out of a piece of English walnut.

    Here's some specs:

New Guinea Rosewood body with flame maple top

Maple neck with carbon fibre reinforcement

    Flame Maple headstock cap

    African (Cameroon) Ebony Fingerboard

    Indian Ebony fingerboard binding

Transparent Candy Black painted finish on top and headstock

Clear coat finish on rest of guitar

    Luminlay side dots

    Bareknuckle Blackhawk pickups

    26.125" scale

    Gotoh tuners

    Hipshot bridge

If you want Allan to build you something like this, I'd suggest hitting him up at Searls Guitars on Facebook, or on his website.

Not a fan of gloss finish however other than that everything looks amazing. Pic of the back side would complete the pornfest

    HNGD, stunning guitar for sure.

It's actually more similar to Mahogany than rosewood. Nonetheless, it's something different

Here's the back. I decided that leaving it with the gloss over the NGR body would be ideal

How would you describe the neck profile?

That things is gorgeous. Do you have any pictures of the headstock? Also, the blackhawks really pair up well with the flame top.

I don't think he'll be doing any builds for a while until he sets up his new workshop, but he's taking deposits for this awesome English Walnut run.

The neck profile is really nice. Not super flat and wide, and not overly round. A good middle ground, especially for a 7.
