Pics first: spec wise it's identical to my Crusher 6, spare the top stain colour IMG_4300 Specs: 26.5" scale 1pc Black Limba body 3pc Ovangkol neck Quilt maple top Macassar ebony fretboard Jescar 57110SS frets Lundgren M7 bridge, Heaven 57 neck Roman numeral side markers only Gotoh 510 mag lock tuners Hipshot fixed bridge From order to completion, the build time was exactly a year, almost to the day. Dariusz was fantastic to deal with through the process, he kept me updated on progress, I've nothing but good things to say about my dealings with him. Quality wise, everything is fantastic. The neck joint is incredibly tight (I've often said RAN's bolt on's are the best I've seen and I maintain that to this day), there's no stain bleed anywhere, no overspray on the gloss, the wiring is tidy, side marker inlays are extremely clean, the cavity cover is routed cleanly and sites flush with the body without being raised anywhere, haven't been able to find any faults or defects at all. The finish work is again phenomenal, I was very specific about the shade of purple I wanted and sent multiple reference images to Dariusz, and I'm happy to say he absolutely nailed what I was looking for. The fretwork has improved on the 7 over the 6 string, not quite Aristides level perfect, but absolutely nothing to complain about, it's better than 90% of anything I've had hands on. Tonally is where I'm most impressed with this guitar. I'm very familiar with the M series pickups, they're my personal favourites for anything and everything metal. Tight, articulate, clear and dynamic to a degree I'm yet to hear from anything else. The M series really puts your playing under a microscope, which I personally love because you're forced to be at your best. The Heaven 57 however, I was not too experienced with. I'd read about it, spoken to Johan briefly about it, heard a few tone clips and decided to take the plunge on it, and I am SO glad I did. The Heaven 57 is now my favourite neck pickup of all time. The cleans are suitably, heavenly. Warm, clear, very touch responsive, bar none the best cleans I've heard. Under high gain, the 57 again has absolutely no issues and sounds absolutely fantastic. Leads are incredibly fluid, there's no harshness to speak of whatsoever. If PAF style pickups are your thing, you're absolutely missing out if you've not tried the Heaven 57's. Overall, incredibly happy with this guitar, and I can comfortably say there's going to be a third RAN on order in the coming months.
