Hi ! Another day , another Horn.

Got this Orbit in a trade with my Mayo Gothic.

As a V lover, wanted to try it so i took the chance.
Came with some mods, a 3 way switch instead of the Push pull, a BK Nailbomb in the bridge. Good !
The guitar was satin white but has yellowed a lot, the binding was pink due to clear getting old and it was quite played . Still frets were still in great shape, and it wasn't in a bad state dingly speaking ;)
So as a maniac, I decided to give her a refin.

I called a good french luthier, Sebaston, who works great for refin and painting and asked him to redo it in black. The only drawback is that when he started sanding it he didn't have the time to get the serial number as it just disappear after 2 layers of sand paper....oh well... It took some time but...I got it back 3 weeks a go and it's really nice !!!!

Deep black, that matches well with the ebony fretboard. Binding is now snow white. I removed the Caparison pu that I found a bit weak and put an irongear Jailhouse rock 2, a single coil humbucker that sounds really good and to match it, i tried a D'urbano magnet pick up coming from Australia. Loud but articulate, sounds pretty good too. I wanted to try a The creamery pu but i see that later. So much brand to try !!! Still have to add a black 3 way switch ;)

Played 2 hours with it this afternoon, Round neck like a C, quite heavy, more than a Jackson RR and the horn is quite long !!!!
the schaller bridge is really good and the guitar stays in tune perfectly. Also dig the headstock shape !!!!
Got to be sure i'm gonna keep it as i got some V's in during the time i got it and it came back.

    Here are some pics.
Awaiting another one stuck at chornopost to complete the 3rd part !!!
    thanks for looking
