Hello! First, pictures (please ignore the cat hair by the tone knob that I didn't notice until after taking the pictures...): This is technically an old NGD, as I've had this guitar for quite a while now (grabbed off a local member, @b7string - great guy!) and have been going through a very slow modification process. Unfortunately the original pictures I had were lost when SS changed up its layout, so I have an earlier, mid-way image to start us off with. I love 7620s but a couple specs were always missing for me (mainly a maple board / offset dots) - so I decided to make one! I first stripped the nitro, grabbed a pickguard from Nate Perle, had it refinished at an auto-body shop (no one local would do it, sadly - he did great and even managed to keep the embossed Ibanez logo, too!) and had the neck sent off to Dragan at the Fine Art Guitar Workshop in Germany. He does absolutely flawless work and his communication is top-notch. Highly recommended. Just prior to getting the pickups and everything in: I threw in a set of Bareknuckle MiracleMans with burnt chrome bolts, wired up with a super switch - YJM 500k volume with a Seymour Duncan treble bleed and a CTS 500k tone with an Orange Drop .022uf cap. There's still some stuff to do to it (different knobs, getting a pearloid 3-ply truss rod cover, routing the back panel to accommodate the Tremol-no, etc) but that'll come in time. It plays faster than Satan and sounds like a horny angel. I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. It's a hell of a lot of money (relatively speaking) to put into a 7620, but I really wanted a super-modified Ibanez. Something about them just gets me.
