So a way back in November 2006 I got in on the Sii-7 offer. A little over a year later, Rob tells me that it is finished and ready to ship! I present to you the story of yesterday's events:

So I wake up late to find a letter under the door
    [IMG]

It can only be my KxK! But what's this? Customs?!

Fuck you HM Revenue and Customs!

With my trusty SS.org T-shirt on, I enlist the help of my flatmate to drive me to the depot
    [IMG]

While I wait for him, I snap a pick of our rubbish in the hall, though it's not as bad as it has been in the past
    [IMG]

A short drive later, I arrive at the depot!

I'm not taking too many pictures, because my flatmate thinks I'm weird enough already, but I spied this while I was waiting and I was like, WTF?

Finally I receive the box, after begrudgingly paying them the £145. After another short drive I arrive at my flat.

My viking friend inspects the box...

He determines it to be pillage-worthy!

But how best to pillage the tasty guitar inside from it's cardboard prison?

    I've got it!

IMA CHARGIN MY BOX OPENING LAZAH!

Success! The top layer of box has been destroyed!

Time to remove the rest of the packing
    [IMG]

But oh noez! One of the latches is locked, I try the claw...

    ...the horns...

    ...but nothing works! :scream2:

Rob was really quick to email me back about it, and I finally get it open!

I open the case and I am stunned
    [IMG]

Now for some poor quality indoor lighting guitar pr0n (I need to get some natural light pictures at some point when it's not raining outside  )

    I  this ebony fretboard
    [IMG]

    T-shirt and other things! :metal:

I administer the t-shirt upon myself.

Now for the final steps, power conditioner - Engage!

    Pod - Engage!

    Power amp - Engage!

Standby Switch - Also Engage, or off, I'm not sure which is right!

    Volume!

And then metal was had by me and anyone within a 1 mile radius. :agreed:

As for my thoughts on the guitar - simply amazing. Everything about it just exudes quality craftmanship. Obviously, it's styled after the Green Dot UV. I'm a poor student so I couldn't afford fancy finishes, but I love the style of that particular UV and I'm really glad I went with it on this guitar.

As far as specs, it's the standard woods (Maple neckthrough/mahogany), Ebony fretboard. For pickups I've got the Blaze Bridge/Neck. I wasn't sure what to get, and I figured I'd give em a try. Plus they came in green :D. I'm really liking them so far though. The minimal inlays I really like the look of, and I was worried it might affect my playing for a bit but it hasn't really so far. This thing just plays incredibly right out of the case, I'm hoping I can still go back to playing my Ibby 7s after this beast

    Thanks for watching! :yesway:

I giggled at the lazers pic

Sweet looking guitar though :D, what sort of neck profile would you describe it as?

How much did it cost you in the end too?

I'd say it's a touch thinner than my Ibanez's, like a flat D kind of profile, I think. I forgot to add that the unfinished neck is amazing, so smooth.

In the end, it cost me £670 for the guitar and shipping, plus the £145 in customs. A good deal I'd say.

Sweet, all of these are gorgeous :agreed:

Your neck is D shaped? That's flat on the back and sides with slight rounding on the shoulders? Just curious as mine is C shaped

Well, it could be that I just have no idea what I'm talking about . It could be C shaped, it just didn't seem that round on the back to me.

 ok. If you've ever played an RG7321, that's D shaped, ie a ruler with curved edges

See, that's the cool thing man. You went for a more understated one and it still came out looking classy AND metal. :metal: The two coolest things on Rob's guitars (to me at least) are the neck volute and sculpted neck joint. They feel and look very sweet. :yesway: Congrats on your new axe man.
