Some of you may remember i made a post about a Tribal Red interceptor with blackouts on rondo music's website. Well i got mine today! First a few pics:

overall im pretty damn impressed. The Blackouts sound very good. I like the EMG808, and i think these blackouts sound good too, but not lightyears ahead that most people seem to say. No problem though. The ebony fretboard is actually very dark, about as dark as the stock photos and its sooo smooth! The finish is great, somewhat darker than in the stock photo, but still very impressive. The headstock even has a matching quilt on it as well!

There were only a few small problems with the factory set up. High E string needed to be raised to get rid of some fret buzz, the bridge came in the fixed position (was wondering why i couldnt change pitch with the bar lol). Also i cant seem to screw the whammy bar all the way into the bridge and secure it. Ive been fiddling wth the allen key screw beside it, but no luck so far. Ill figure it out though.

All in all, a very nice 8 string, worth twice as much as what Agile is selling it for. I would highly recommend this or any of the other interceptor pro 8's.

    :agreed:

About the arm for the tremolo you're right, it's the allen screw beside it taht controls arm tension. I don't remember exactly how it works, it's been a while since I adjusted a Kahler bridge but keep fiddling with it and you'll most likely find a good position for it.

Very nice, I'm interested to hear what you have to say about the Kahler trem, I'm tempted to get an Interceptor 8 because the Kahler seems to be easier to work with than a Floyd and I also like that you can lock it down into fixed bridge mode

Yeah i fixed the arm, just needed some extra force to screw it in all the way. Its perfect now :D

The kahler is the same as the one on my white interceptor. Its a great bridge and makes me wonder why many people dismiss kahlers. It seems more stable and the bridge itself has a superior design compared to a floyd (imo). There are alot of adjustable parts on the kahler, but they are all usefull. You can adjust the action, intonation, and string width (basically move the string saddle left or right) for each string. Also.. no knife adges to worry about wearing down :D

Kahlers dont require you to gut the center of the guitar's body out, i believe only a small portion under the bridge if routed out to make room for a spring. The routing does not go through the entire body. This makes it much easier to retrofit onto guitars, where as a floyd would require much more work.

Unfortunately, i dont have an recording equipment, only a standard gaming headset microphone, which wouldnt do the guitar justice.
